23% VAT on top — LinkedIn's own figure, read 18 September 2026

LinkedIn pricing in Germany

LinkedIn adds 23% VAT to the subscription price in Germany, and the euros list price is set separately from the US one rather than converted from it. Those two facts decide more of the bill than which tier you pick. Below: what changes here, the US baseline to judge it against, and the thirty-second way to read your own real figure.

What is different here

Three things that decide a German LinkedIn bill

The price itself

LinkedIn bills its European business from Ireland, so a German purchase is an EU cross-border supply and the VAT treatment depends on whether you are buying as a business or as a private person.

The tax

A private buyer is charged German VAT at 19% on top of the price. A business that enters a valid USt-IdNr is not charged VAT at all, because the liability reverses onto the business under EU place-of-supply rules.

The paperwork

That single field is worth about 19% of the bill. It is also the most common thing people forget, and LinkedIn does not go back and re-issue an invoice because the number arrived late.

What no market changes

The usage ceilings are identical everywhere. Roughly 100 connection invitations a week, the same InMail allowance per tier, the same 2,500-result cap on a Sales Navigator search — none of it moves with the currency. The full list is here.

The tax, precisely

23% VAT, added on top

LinkedIn bills its European business from Ireland, so this is a cross-border supply inside the EU. In LinkedIn's words: “LinkedIn is not required to apply VAT on services for EU members outside of Ireland who have provided a valid VAT number.

The baseline

US list prices, to judge your German figure against

We do not publish local-currency prices, and the reason is the same one that governs every other figure on this site: we cannot read a purchase flow in a market we are not in, so any number we printed would be someone else’s number with our date on it. The US list price below is the baseline LinkedIn prices its other markets around — it is not a conversion target — and the thirty-second method further down gets you your own real figure, tax included.

Thirty seconds

Read your own German price instead

No table on the web can be right about this, including ours. The payment screen can, and it does not charge you for looking.

  1. Sign in with the account that will hold the subscription.
  2. Open the plan page and pick monthly or annual.
  3. Advance to the payment screen — nothing is charged until you confirm.
  4. Read the total in euros. It includes the VAT for your billing address.
  5. If you are buying as a business, enter your VAT number first and watch the total change. Inside the EU it should remove the tax entirely.
Ask a person

Looking at a German invoice right now?

Then you are holding a sourced figure and we are not. Send the plan, whether it was monthly or annual, the euros amount and whether tax was included, and we will publish it with the date and the market — which is more than anyone else in this search result can offer. Corrections to the tax figures above are just as useful.

German pricing FAQ

What people ask before buying here

Do I pay VAT on LinkedIn in Germany?

As a private buyer, yes — German VAT at 19% on top of the price. As a VAT-registered business that has entered a valid USt-IdNr, no: LinkedIn states it is not required to apply VAT for EU members outside Ireland who provide a valid VAT number, and the charge reverses onto you instead.

Why is the German price not the US price in euros?

Because LinkedIn sets a euro price per plan rather than converting. The euro figure and the dollar figure move independently, and neither one is derived from the other.

Do the usage limits change in Germany?

No. The invitation ceiling, the InMail allowance and the search caps are the same in every market — they are product limits, not commercial ones. That is worth knowing because it means a cheaper market buys you a cheaper seat, not a bigger one. The full list of ceilings is here.

Where to next

The German number is on your payment screen

We publish the US baseline because we read it, and the tax because LinkedIn publishes it. The local list price is one click away inside your own account, and that is the only version of it worth trusting.
