LinkedIn Recruiter Lite pricing

Recruiter Lite costs $170 a month, or $1,680 for a year prepaid — an effective $140 a month, which makes it the dearest self-serve seat LinkedIn sells. It is also the only paid LinkedIn plan whose search is limited to your own network. The price buys the hiring layer, not reach.

The restriction nobody leads with

The dearest self-serve seat has the smallest candidate pool

Recruiter Lite searches your own network — first, second and third-degree connections and shared group members. Premium, Sales Navigator and Recruiter Corporate all search the whole platform. This is the single most important thing to know before buying it.

What “your network” actually covers

Third-degree is wide if you have a large, well-connected profile in the industry you hire for. It is narrow if you are new, junior, or hiring into a function you have no connections in — which is exactly when a recruiter most needs the tool.

Why the trial matters more here

Use the free month specifically to run your hardest real search. If the candidates you need are outside your network, no amount of filtering inside Lite will find them.

The fix is not a cheaper workaround

Searching all of LinkedIn means Recruiter Corporate, which is quote-only and sold on an annual contract. There is no middle tier.

Or a different product entirely

Sales Navigator Core searches the whole network for $50.01 less — it just has no pipeline layer. See Sales Navigator vs Recruiter.

The comparison recruiters are not shown

Sales Navigator Core is $50.01 less and gives 20 more credits

It also searches the entire network rather than yours. What it does not have is the hiring layer — and whether that is worth $50.01 a month is the real question on this page.

Twelve months of one seat, and what each one reaches
RouteRelative sizeTwelve-month total, paid monthly
Sales Navigator CoreWhole network · 50 credits · 2,500 results$1,439.88
Recruiter LiteYour network only · 30 credits · pipelines and hiring filters$2,040

Recruiter Lite costs $600.12 more a year for fewer credits and a smaller search. Every bit of that premium is the hiring layer: candidate pipelines with stages, the recruiting filters and the “open to work” signal. If you run requisitions, that is worth it. If you source and message, it is not — and per message, Lite is $5.67 against Core's $2.40.

US list prices in USD, excluding tax. LinkedIn bills in local currency in most markets and the converted figure is rarely a straight exchange-rate conversion, so treat this as the US baseline and confirm in your own billing page before committing to an annual term.

What $170 a month buys

Everything included in Recruiter Lite

20+ recruiting-specific search filters

Years of experience, seniority, skills, and — the one that matters — candidate-specific signals like "open to work" that no other LinkedIn product exposes. This is the real reason to buy Recruiter Lite.

30 InMail credits a month

At $5.67 a credit, the second most expensive message on LinkedIn. Credits expire after 90 days and are refunded when a candidate replies within that window.

Candidate pipelines and stages

A proper hiring pipeline with stages, notes and statuses per role — a real applicant-tracking layer rather than a list of saved people. Nothing in Premium or Sales Navigator does this.

Smart suggestions and recommended matches

LinkedIn proposes candidates against a live role. Quality varies with how well the role is specified, but it surfaces people your own search terms miss.

10 saved searches with alerts

New candidates matching a saved search are flagged as they appear, which is how the product is meant to be worked — continuously, not in bursts.

What it does not include: search beyond your own network, ATS integration, shared pipelines across recruiters, or more than 30 credits. All four are Recruiter Corporate features — the step up is on Lite vs Corporate.

The honest test

Is Recruiter Lite the right buy?

Yes, if you run requisitions continuously

Pipelines with stages and notes are what you are paying for, and nothing cheaper has them. One agency recruiter or an in-house hire of one is the shape this fits.

Yes, if you hire in your own industry

A well-connected profile in the field you recruit for makes the network restriction almost invisible. A career recruiter's third-degree in their own vertical is large.

No, if you are sourcing cold

Outside your network Lite simply cannot see the candidates. Sales Navigator Core can, for $50.01 less.

No, if you hire in bursts

$170 a month between hiring waves is dead money, and the annual plan makes that worse rather than better. Monthly, cancelled between roles, is the cheaper pattern.

Recruiter Lite FAQ

The questions hiring teams ask

How much does LinkedIn Recruiter Lite cost?

$170 a month, or $1,680 for twelve months prepaid — an effective $140 a month. That makes it the most expensive self-serve seat LinkedIn sells. US list prices excluding tax, last read on 10 September 2026.

What is the catch with Recruiter Lite?

Its search is limited to your own network — first, second and third-degree connections and group members. It is the only paid LinkedIn plan with that restriction: Premium, Sales Navigator and Recruiter Corporate all search the whole platform. So the dearest self-serve seat LinkedIn offers has the smallest candidate pool of any paid product, which is the opposite of what the price implies. Searching all of LinkedIn requires Recruiter Corporate.

Is Recruiter Lite worth it over Sales Navigator?

Only for the hiring layer. Sales Navigator Core is $119.99 — $50.01 less — and gives 50 InMail credits against Lite's 30, plus a search over the entire network rather than just yours, and a 2,500-result cap against 1,000. What it does not have is candidate pipelines, the recruiting filters or "open to work" signals. If you are sourcing and messaging, Core is cheaper and reaches further; if you are running requisitions with stages and notes, Lite is the product.

Is the annual Recruiter Lite plan worth it?

It saves $360 over twelve months — 18% — and breaks even in month 10. That is a middling discount by LinkedIn's standards: better than Sales Navigator Advanced's 6%, worse than Premium Career's 50%. As always the term cannot be cancelled for a refund, so it is a bet on hiring continuously for a year rather than in bursts.

How many InMails does Recruiter Lite include?

30 a month, which works out at $5.67 a credit — against $2.40 on Sales Navigator Core. If InMail volume is your binding constraint rather than the pipeline features, Recruiter Lite is close to the worst way to buy it.

Can Recruiter Lite seats be shared between recruiters?

No. A seat attaches to one LinkedIn profile, pipelines are not shared across seats on Lite, and the usage pattern that comes from sharing one — logins from several places, activity that does not match one person — is exactly what LinkedIn restricts accounts for. Shared pipelines and collaborative projects are a Recruiter Corporate feature.

Does Recruiter Lite have a free trial?

Yes — one month, once per account, with a payment method required at sign-up. It converts to a paid month automatically unless cancelled first. Given the network-limited search, the trial is worth using specifically to check whether your own network actually contains the candidates you need.

Where to next

Check the network before you check the price

$170 a month buys a hiring layer and a search that stops at your own connections. If the candidates you need sit outside it, this is the wrong product at any price.
