Recruiter Lite vs Corporate: when Lite stops being enough
Lite is $170 a month. Corporate has no published price at all. So the useful comparison is not about money — it is about the three walls in Lite that no budget crosses. It cannot search beyond your own network, cannot share a pipeline between recruiters, and cannot sync with an ATS. Everything else that differs is a matter of degree.
Move up when you hit a wall, not when you want more
Wanting more credits or more filters is not a reason to take a quote call. Being unable to do the job at all is.
The clearest trigger. Lite sees first, second and third-degree connections and shared group members, and nothing else. If your hardest real search comes back thin, this is why, and no setting inside Lite fixes it.
Lite gives them no shared view, so both approach the same candidate. That is a reputational cost before it is an efficiency one, and it is the second honest reason to move.
Lite has no integration, so everything in Recruiter is invisible to the ATS and someone re-keys it. Whether that is worth a contract depends on your volume.
Lite already has candidate pipelines, 20+ recruiting filters and the “open to work” signal. If none of the three walls applies, a quote buys you degree, not capability.
Three things Lite cannot do at any price
These are binary. No amount of spending inside Recruiter Lite gets you across them, which is what makes them the only sound reasons to move up.
| Attribute | Recruiter Lite ($170) | Recruiter Corporate (quote) |
|---|---|---|
| Search scope | Your own network only | The entire LinkedIn network |
| Shared pipelines across recruiters | Not available | Included |
| ATS integration | Not available | Two-way sync |
| Price | $170 / month, $1,680 / year | Quote only — no published price |
Four things Corporate has more of
Useful, but none of them stops you working. Judge these against the quote rather than treating them as reasons to ask for one.
| Attribute | Recruiter Lite ($170) | Recruiter Corporate (quote) |
|---|---|---|
| InMail credits / month | 30 | 150 |
| Recruiting filters | 20+ | 40+ including spotlights |
| Saved searches | 10 | 50 |
| Reporting | Minimal | Usage, funnel and seat reporting |
The credit line is the one worth doing arithmetic on. Corporate grants 150 a month, which is published even though the price is not — so dividing a per-seat quote by 150 gives you a cost per InMail to test against the $2.40–$8 range on the rest of LinkedIn. The method is on Recruiter Corporate pricing and the ladder on what an InMail costs.
There is no middle tier — but there is a different product
LinkedIn sells nothing between Lite and Corporate. What it does sell is a product that solves the first wall for a published price.
$50.01 a month less than Lite, searches the entire network, and grants 50 credits against Lite's 30.
Any hiring layer at all: no candidate pipelines, no stages, no recruiting filters, no “open to work”. It is a sourcing tool, not a hiring one.
When your bottleneck is finding people rather than tracking them — an agency sourcer, or an in-house recruiter whose ATS already owns the pipeline.

US list prices in USD, excluding tax. LinkedIn bills in local currency in most markets and the converted figure is rarely a straight exchange-rate conversion, so treat this as the US baseline and confirm in your own billing page before committing to an annual term.

The questions this comparison raises
What is the difference between Recruiter Lite and Recruiter Corporate?
Three differences are walls and four are matters of degree. The walls: Lite searches only your own network while Corporate searches all of LinkedIn; Lite has no shared pipelines so recruiters cannot work one requisition together; and Lite has no ATS integration. The differences of degree: 150 InMail credits against 30, 40+ recruiting filters against 20+, 50 saved searches against 10, and real reporting against almost none. Lite is $170 a month; Corporate has no published price.
When should I move from Recruiter Lite to Corporate?
When you hit one of the walls, not when you want more of something. The two honest triggers are: your candidates sit outside your own network, which Lite cannot reach at any price; or two or more recruiters are working the same requisitions and duplicating outreach to the same candidates. If neither is true, Lite has the pipelines and the recruiting filters already, and a quote will not change what you can do.
How much more is Recruiter Corporate than Lite?
LinkedIn publishes no price for Corporate, so nobody can answer this honestly with a figure — and the numbers circulating in other guides disagree with each other by more than double. What is knowable is the floor: Corporate is a superset of Lite sold on an annual contract, so a per-seat quote below Lite's published $1,680 per seat per year would make no commercial sense. Use that as the baseline when the quote arrives.
Can a small team use Recruiter Lite instead of Corporate?
Yes, and many should — with one caveat. Lite works well for a team of one, or for several recruiters who own separate requisitions and never touch the same candidates. The moment two recruiters work the same role, Lite has no way for them to see each other’s outreach, and the cost of that is duplicate approaches to candidates, which is a reputational problem as much as an efficiency one.
Does Recruiter Corporate search more candidates than Lite?
Substantially, and this is the difference that matters most. Lite is restricted to first, second and third-degree connections and shared group members. Corporate searches the entire LinkedIn network. For a recruiter with a large, well-aged network in the vertical they hire for, the gap is smaller than it sounds; for someone hiring into an unfamiliar function, Lite may be unable to see most of the relevant candidates at all.
Is there anything between Lite and Corporate?
Not within the Recruiter product — there is no middle tier. The nearest thing is Sales Navigator Core at $119.99, which searches the whole network and grants 50 credits for less than Lite costs, but has no hiring layer at all: no pipelines, no recruiting filters, no "open to work" signal. For sourcing rather than requisition management it is often the better buy.
Name the wall before you take the call
Corporate has no published price, so the only leverage you have is knowing exactly which capability you are buying and what $1,680 per seat per year already gets you.
