Sales Navigator limits
Not one quantitative limit on Sales Navigator changes with the tier. 50 InMail credits, 2,500 search results, 10,000 saved leads and 15 saved searches are identical on Core, Advanced and Advanced Plus. The higher tiers buy collaboration, not headroom — which means upgrading is never the fix for a ceiling.
Every Sales Navigator limit, tier by tier
Read across any row. The columns are the same all the way along — which is the point, and is not how LinkedIn's own comparison page presents it.
| Limit | Core | Advanced | Advanced Plus |
|---|---|---|---|
| InMail credits / month | 50 | 50 | 50 |
| Search results per search | 2,500 | 2,500 | 2,500 |
| Saved leads | 10,000 | 10,000 | 10,000 |
| Saved accounts | 10,000 | 10,000 | 10,000 |
| Saved searches | 15 | 15 | 15 |
| Weekly connection invitations | ~100 | ~100 | ~100 |
| CRM | Basic sync | Advanced — activity writeback | Full — data validation and contact enrichment |
| Team features | None | TeamLink, Smart Links, shared lists | Everything in Advanced plus TeamLink Extend |
Only the bottom two rows differ. Everything above them is the same number whether you pay $119.99 or negotiate an Advanced Plus contract. The same table across every LinkedIn product — free, Premium, Recruiter — is on LinkedIn limits by plan.
The five limits worth understanding properly
A number on its own does not tell you whether it will be a problem. Each of these says what actually happens when you reach it and what to do about it.
Paginated 25 at a time, so 100 pages. It is a cap on what one search returns, not a daily quota — which means a search matching 40,000 people is not a bigger list, it is a badly built search. The fix is to segment: split by geography, headcount band or seniority until each search returns fewer than 2,500, then save each one. This is also why the tier does not matter here: Advanced and Advanced Plus hit the same wall.
Identical on Core, Advanced and Advanced Plus. Credits accrue to at most three times the monthly allowance — 150 — and expire after 90 days. A credit is returned if the recipient replies within 90 days, which makes reply rate directly worth money: at a 20% reply rate, 50 credits buy 60 sends.
The ceiling most teams actually hit, and the one no plan removes. It applies to free accounts, Premium, Sales Navigator and Recruiter Corporate alike. LinkedIn tunes it per account against acceptance rate, so an account sending to poorly-matched people gets less headroom, never more. Withdrawn invitations still count until they age out.
High enough that it is not the practical constraint for a single seat. Worth knowing for a migration: importing a bought list of 30,000 contacts into saved leads is not possible, and would not be useful if it were, because alerts are only meaningful on a list you actually work.
The one that bites teams doing account-based work, because the correct response to the 2,500-result cap is to split a broad search into several narrow ones — and the saved-search allowance is what limits how far you can take that. Same number on every Sales Navigator tier.
The ceilings money does not lift
These are not Sales Navigator limits. They are LinkedIn limits, and they apply identically to a free account and to the most expensive contract LinkedIn sells.
| Limit | Value | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Connection invitations | ~100 per week | Applies on every plan including Recruiter Corporate. LinkedIn adjusts it per account based on acceptance rate, so a low-acceptance account gets less, never more. |
| InMail credit expiry | 90 days | Unused credits expire. They accrue to at most three times the monthly allowance, and a credit is returned if the recipient replies within 90 days. |
| Commercial use limit | Monthly search cap | Free accounts hit a monthly ceiling on profile searches. Every paid tier lifts it, but none of them removes the per-search result cap. |
| Profiles per search | 1,000 / 2,500 | Regular LinkedIn search stops at 1,000 results; Sales Navigator stops at 2,500, paginated 25 at a time. Both are per search, not per day. |
If you upgraded and nothing changed
Match the symptom to the cause before you spend more. Three of these four are not solved by any amount of money.
Upgrading will not help — every tier grants 50. Either improve reply rate, since credits come back on a reply within 90 days, or accept 50 as the monthly budget and spend it on better-qualified people.
Not a plan problem, a query problem. Segment the search until each slice returns fewer than 2,500 and save each one separately.
That is the universal ceiling and no plan removes it. The only things that move it are acceptance rate and time — and pushing at it risks a restriction.
This is the one the tier genuinely cannot fix, because every limit above is per profile and a subscription upgrades a profile rather than adding one.
The questions people hit these with
How many InMails do you get with Sales Navigator?
Fifty a month, on Core, Advanced and Advanced Plus alike. The allowance does not increase with the tier. Unused credits accrue to a maximum of 150 and expire after 90 days, and a credit is refunded if the recipient replies within 90 days.
What is the Sales Navigator search limit?
A single search returns at most 2,500 results, shown 25 to a page. It is a per-search cap rather than a daily quota, and it is the same on every tier. If a search matches more people than that, the answer is to segment it into narrower searches rather than to upgrade — no Sales Navigator plan returns more than 2,500.
Does Sales Navigator remove the weekly connection limit?
No. The roughly 100 invitations a week ceiling applies on every LinkedIn plan, including Sales Navigator Advanced Plus and Recruiter Corporate. LinkedIn adjusts it per account based on acceptance rate, so it can be lower than 100 but not higher. This is the single most common reason a team upgrades and sees nothing change.
How many leads can you save in Sales Navigator?
Ten thousand saved leads and ten thousand saved accounts, on every tier. In practice this is not the ceiling anyone hits — the saved-search allowance and the 2,500-result cap both bind long before it.
Do higher Sales Navigator tiers have higher limits?
No. This is the most useful thing on this page: not one of the quantitative ceilings moves with the tier. InMail credits, search result cap, saved leads, saved accounts and saved searches are identical across Core, Advanced and Advanced Plus. The higher tiers add collaboration features and CRM depth, not headroom.
What happens if I hit a Sales Navigator limit?
It depends which one. A search cap simply stops returning results past 2,500. Exhausted InMail credits stop you sending until the next monthly grant. Exceeding the invitation ceiling gets invitations blocked for the rest of the week, and repeatedly pushing at it is one of the behaviours that leads to an account restriction — which is a far more expensive problem than a paused week.
Check the ceiling before you buy the tier
Every quantitative limit on Sales Navigator is identical across all three tiers. If a ceiling is your problem, the upgrade is not the answer — and it is the most expensive way to find that out.
